Why wellbeing matters

As an employer, given the choice, would you choose to encourage your employees to:

know what they can do maintain good health – and more than that knowing you as their employer takes an interest in their wellbeing?

OR

leave it to chance, where some employees take self-action and others choose not to or are simply unaware of what to do?

At the end of the day as an employer you want your employees to be well to perform their work and minimise employee absence arising from ill health.

The Office of National Statistics data identifies more than 50% of absence is attributed to:

Minor illnesses (e.g colds, sniffles)

Musculoskeletal problems (e.g back pain)

Your records may confirm this, and in any event your overriding interest as an employer is to lookout for your employees –  your Number 1 asset.
